Joining Olde English

Dear Parents,

Open tryouts for the 2018 -19 Olde English Tournament teams will be held Monday, July 9th and Tuesday, July 10th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Phoenixville High School Complex in Phoenixville, PA.

2018-19 Teams:  2023, 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028/29

Olde English is a 9-month travel program that provides a balanced, player experience from the late fall through summer seasons.  The 2018-19 season will kick off in late October with a focus on refreshing each player’s field skills and will carry into December with Sunday afternoon workouts and 1-2 possible fall tournaments.  Through the winter, we move indoors with weekly workouts focused on individual skill development and pushing players to develop areas beyond their natural strengths.

In March we will return to the outdoor game with all teams practicing two nights per week and most age groups playing in a Philadelphia-based travel, spring league.  In addition, we anticipate 1-2 spring tournaments between March and May.

The summer season officially kicks off Memorial Day weekend and will be busy for all age groups with 5 tournaments, program and team social events and a program wide community service project (lacrosse-centered).

Olde English is very much a family program where everyone makes a collective investment in the development of our players – this includes the coaches, the parents and the players themselves.  Our focus is on the long-term development of players that will prepare them to be successful as they progress toward the high school game and beyond. That means we are looking for players and their families who will make a commitment to a single travel lacrosse program and a commitment to seeing their team be successful as much as their individual success.
